Our Philosophy

We are a group of people that had amazing childhoods, marked by endless outdoor play, where we were engineers of our own play. Imagination had no limit, we played and learnt through trial and error with peers and siblings. We learned the importance of taking calculated risks, gaining valuable lessons that foster honesty and integrity, and building resilience through trial and error.

We are passionate about giving children the same opportunities today, ensuring their learning happens within a social context. Our nurseries and curriculum are designed to foster play, exploration, learning, and movement in beautiful, spacious environments. We recognise the importance of having qualified staff to provide the very best educational experiences for children.

We did it before and we would like to do it again. Why? Because it gives us joy and an opportunity to improve lives and make the world a better place for future generations. Understanding the profound impact human behaviour has on the environment, we believe it is important to cultivate environmental awareness in children from a young age.

Mission

Our mission is to equip children with essential physical, academic, social, and psychological skills through play-based learning. We aim to cultivate socially responsible individuals who possess empathy for others and the world around them.

Research conducted over several years has shown that children who do not attend nursery before starting primary school are at a disadvantage. Studies indicate that these children often lack essential mental and social skills, which can hinder their academic progress from the very beginning and have long-term effects on their education. To give every child the best possible foundational start, we aim to ensure they develop these crucial skills and experiences so they can continue their academic journey when starting primary school.

We recognize parents and carers as a child’s first educators and value their contributions to their child’s health, language, social development, and understanding of science, mathematics, and the arts.

Staff Ownership

We understand that the best employees care passionately about the role they must play. Therefore, we allow our nursery managers and staff to take ownership of the nursery and treat it as their very own. We have the infrastructure and industry expertise to guide, support and mentor to bring out the best in everyone that is part of the Maxxi family.

Our underlying focus is always our impact on the planet which guides our daily operations, learning and play. We endeavour to reduce our carbon footprint in everything we do, and we have building facilities that are environmentally friendly and energy efficient.
